All incident information should be entered in compliance with the Discipline Data Collecting and Reporting Manual. Refer to the manual for guidance on proper coding of incident behaviors and resolutions.
Purpose
This check identifies when a 105 behavior code is not entered along with a Possession of Firearm behavior code.
The 105 behavior code should only be used when the threat is made in person and the firearm is displayed, brandished, or discharged. The possession of the firearm is reported as its own behavior event in the incident. This check looked for incidents with the 105 behavior code that did not also have a Possession of Firearm behavior code.
